Skinscape shows several isolated
figures standing in a landscape that is defined by a supine
nude female curve. Fabric draped over the female horizon
suggests both a cascade or stream and also a vaginal
opening. An hand reaches into the middle of the painting,
restrained by the hand another arm reaching into the foreground
of the painting. A male figure in the background, beyond
the curvature of the horizon, stands stiffly, with arms
restrained.
Ken Bruno offered me $200 for this
painting in 1995.
