BXOS !nteractive! severs ties with Mike Thomas and the Harborview Gallery website

Boxford MA : July 3, 2006 — BXOS !nteractive! prinicipal and art director lou suSi announced the dissolve between the Harborview Gallery website and BXOS.

"Well, it seems like Mike { Mike Thomas, owner | photographer of Harborview Galleries } has decided to take his photography and his site elsewhere. Some company out of Europe or something. Seems a little strange and all, I mean, he seemed to be a bit more soulful than that ... a bit more of a people person. In fact, that was the sheer genius of his photography really ... his giving and human personality, sort of the man behind the pictures," Lou said regarding the move. "He never gave a reason really ... which is fine ... just seems odd as the new site really isn't an improvement, more of a step back, really. But I don't want to knock anyone. And I'm sure he's still a great guy { wink wink }."

The new site does not include any of the previously planned enhancements, nor does it include some of the sticky information about Rockport and the Cape Ann region.

lou suSi slated to teach Web Design II course at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell

Boxford MA : May 18 2004 — lou suSi, a Massachusetts-based web + graphic designer, performance + installation artist — has been slated to teach Web Design II at University of Massachusetts at Lowell in the fall of 2004.

Web Design II is the second in a three-part Web curriculum in the Art Department at the University of Lowell. "Web II seems to be right up my alley in many ways," said lou suSi. "I will get to establish fictitious clients for each student to generate a full fledged web presence for over the course of the autumn semester. Each student will act as a designer of their own firm, presenting numerous studies to the class. The class will act as the client, with my role being that of key clientelle contact. The possible scenarios are seemingly endless regarding the direction each project could take. And each student will gain further exposure into key technologies and tools for web design and development."

lou suSi taught the course "Aesthetics and Critical Studies of New Media" for the Spring of 2004 at UML. "Although I enjoyed teaching New Media Art concepts this spring, I feel that I will be able to really bring my industry expertise into the classroom with Web II. This is, after all, what I do day in, day out — web design and development, client interaction, experience and usability assessment and enhancement. Combine this with my background in the fine arts and my recent concentrations on installation and performance art, and I am sure we are in for some mind and media-bending fun for the fall."

ktAnonymous collaborative proposal submitted to the University of
Massachusetts at Lowell

Boxford MA : April 29 2004 — lou suSi, a Massachusetts-based web + graphic designer, performance + installation artist — has set the wheels in motion for a 2-part project to proposed to be shown during the next academic year at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.

The submitted proposal establishes a possible collaborative effort by an assembled group of artists that would go by the name of ktAnonymous. "I felt like this project should be done by a group of artists. The scope on a conceptual and production level is larger than just one person — and I wanted to work with a group of artists that I admire and respect on a project that incorporates both physical and the virtual-cyber realm of the arts," said lou suSi. "Although the ktAnonymous group is still just at the proposal stage, I am hoping that each individual artist joins us in the cause, lending extension to the original vision with further creative, conceptual and spiritual brainstorming and input."

A web presence for ktAnonymous is underway. Any progress regarding the initial ktProject, funding and conceptual and artistic development will soon be documented at http://www.ktanonymous.com. Notification will be added ss each new artist joins the group.
